ABS Euro Key and Turn Cylinders British Standard Kitemarked TS007 3*
Quick ViewCylinders & Barrels, Door Locks, Locks & Security, Multipoint & UPVCABS Euro Key and Turn Cylinders British Standard Kitemarked TS007 3*
0 out of 5(0)ABS cylinders are the original sacrificial breakpoint cylinders meeting Sold Secure Diamond and TS007 3* standards. The sacrificial breakpoint technology on ABS cylinders ensures the cam remains in place if the cylinder is attacked.
The new ABS Quantum Thumbturn now allows for full compatibility with latch-locking doors. This ensures that no matter what position the thumb turn has been left in when the door has been closed the key will still be able to open the door from the outside.
If ABS is snap-attacked from the outside, sacrificial breakpoint protection is triggered and the cam is locked into position to prevent the door from being opened. To open the door after a lock-snapping attack, the thumb turn is pushed in to rotate and safely open and close the door from the inside.
*Please note: A 30mm size barrel does not have the kitemark stamp as it is physically smaller and does not have the snap sacrificial line.
When choosing a cylinder the size will determine the turn and sacrificial breakpoint sides of the barrel. Example: T35/45S means that the turn is on the 35mm side and the 45mm side has a sacrificial breakpoint.

Roto Elite Latch Deadbolt 2 Hooks 4 Rollers Double Spindle Multipoint Door Lock – Shootbolt Compatible
Quick ViewDoor Locks, Multipoint & UPVC, Multipoint LocksRoto Elite Latch Deadbolt 2 Hooks 4 Rollers Double Spindle Multipoint Door Lock – Shootbolt Compatible
0 out of 5(0)This Elite Standard multipoint door lock features 4 Rollers, 2 Hooks, 1 Deadbolt & 1 Latch.
This Elite multipoint lock is a direct replacement for some of the old Roto locks.
Available with a useful one piece keep it provides a solution to replace hard to find or discontinued locks.
Elite multipoint door locks cover a wide range of different applications. They are made in Europe and feature a “Silbear” coating which offers 480 hours salt spray protection.
Identifying an Elite lock starts with the faceplate, which should be stamped with an Elite logo. This gearbox features a slot and a small hole below the slot appearing above the top spindle which is a piercing for bolt through handles.
If these locks look familiar, that’s because they are. Elite took over the manufacturing of these locks from Roto-Frank when they discontinued the range. They use the same tooling, with the exception of the new Silbear coating, they are made to the same specification as the original locks. You may recognise them from our catalogues as the MVD range or “Roto mark 2” locks. Gearboxes cannot be changed with the original locks but they do offer a relatively simple complete lock swap.
Many Elite locks are available in standard and compact versions designed for shorter doors. They feature the same 950mm handle height but a shorter overall length of 1810mm.
Elite gearboxes are available as a 35mm single spindle lock or with a 35mm or 45mm double spindle. Gearboxes measure 200mm high x backset + 19mm. Be sure to account for 2mm for the faceplate when measuring the backset.
Gearbox deadbolts project 20mm and are 32mm high. The latch is 30mm high and projects 10mm. The distance between the bottom of the latch and the top of the deadbolt is 63mm.
Centres are positioned at 62mm and 92mm with the top spindle being 122mm from the bottom of the case. Single spindle locks have a round hole where the second spindle would usually be located. The gearbox is pierced to accept a bolt through fixing 19mm from the top spindle, and the slot above for fixings is 42mm above the spindle.
Elite hooks can throw in either opposite directions, or upwards, depending on the model. They feature the same Silbear coating as the rest of the lock, which offers up to 480 hours salt spray testing.
Rollers are used for compression, to pull the door against the frame, to help prevent dust or water ingress. They do little for security, but they also have the added benefit of helping to prevent the door from becoming warped as it is supported across its full height. This is dependent on the rollers being engaged into their keeps.
Elite rollers are normally adjustable by +/- 1.2mm to help achieve optimum weather sealing.

Fuhr 856 Type 8 Latch Deadbolt 2 Rollers 2 Pins Lift Lever Multipoint Door Lock
Quick ViewDoor Locks, Multipoint & UPVC, Multipoint LocksFuhr 856 Type 8 Latch Deadbolt 2 Rollers 2 Pins Lift Lever Multipoint Door Lock
0 out of 5(0)This Fuhr 856 – Lift Lever multipoint door lock features 2 Rollers2 Pin Bolts, 1 Deadbolt & 1 Latch.
Fuhr 856 series multipoint door locks are most commonly fitted to UPVC doors but suit all door types. These UPVC door locks feature a solid spindle, lift lever (Fuhr call it lever operated) function, where the handle must be lifted to engage the locking points.
Fuhr UPVC door locks are available in a range of different versions, all of which start life as the same platform. Hooks, rollers and other locking points may be in different positions, but the locks are otherwise the same.
Identifying a Fuhr lock is easiest once it has been removed from the door. The gearbox is distinctive and once you’ve seen one Fuhr lock, you’ll be sure to recognise another. Its worth noting that there are some subtle differences between the 856 (lift lever), 859 (split spindle) and 855 (keywind) multipoint door lock gearboxes, but they are all recognisable as made by Fuhr. Almost all Fuhr locks will have the name stamped on the faceplate, but a reliable way to identify the lock is the triangular shape at the top of the gearbox, adjacent to where the top fixing screw connects to the faceplate.
Fuhr multipoint door lock gearboxes feature a deadbolt which throws 20mm, except on 25mm and 30mm backset locks, where it throws 14mm. The gearbox measures 220mm x width + 18mm. The latch and deadbolt are both 31mm high and there is 61mm between the bottom of the latch and the top of the deadbolt. Gearboxes are fixed to faceplates with 3 screws. The distance from the top screw to the middle screw is 91mm and the distance from the middle to bottom screw is 108mm.
Fuhr locks feature a ball bearing and spring pre-fitted. There is a tiny notch on the sliding internal strip that the ball bearing engages (under spring tension) and give a more positive locking feel when handle operated. If you try a lock without this spring and ball bearing fitted, you’ll notice the difference. Some replacement gearboxes on the market are sold without the ball bearing and spring, but all of our replacement Fuhr gearboxes come with these pre-fitted for a direct swap.
When replacing an existing Fuhr multipoint lock or gearbox, you may find that the latch differs. This can cause problems when the latch locates in the keep. Old versions of Fuhr multipoint lock gearboxes had a latch that was 28mm high, whereas newer versions are 33mm high. If the latch on the old lock is not damaged, it is possible to remove it by undoing the allen key bolt in the old gearbox, removing it and re-using it in the new lock.
You should also look out for 30mm gearboxes fitted to bifold doors (particularly, Smarts Aluminium doors). These gearboxes do not interchange with the standard 856 gearbox.
Fuhr pin bolts (Fuhr call them round deadbolts) fire 20mm from the pin bolt cases into the keeps. The cases measure 130mm high, x 40mm wide x 15mm thick, so they are marginally smaller than the equivalent hook cases. Pin bolts do not meet the requirements of Secured by Design are required to be met, you should swap to hooks.
Roller cams on Fuhr UPVC door locks travel 19mm with a roller cam adjustment of +/- 0.8mm.

GU Europa Compact Latch Deadbolt 4 Rollers Lift Lever Multipoint Door Lock
Quick ViewDoor Locks, Multipoint & UPVC, Multipoint LocksGU Europa Compact Latch Deadbolt 4 Rollers Lift Lever Multipoint Door Lock
0 out of 5(0)This GU Europa multipoint door lock features 4 Rollers, 1 Deadbolt & 1 Latch.
A shorter (1765mm long) version of the ubiquitous 4 roller lock from GU at a cheaper price.
The GU range of multipoint door locks is called “SECURY” and the lever and split spindle operated versions are called “Europa”. GU Secury Europa locks are available as either a lift lever or split spindle nightlatch operation. They feature a number of different locking points, but the configurations are the same, to assist when doors are being manufactured. You may find that some suppliers refer to GU locks as “Ferco” or “GU Ferco”, as that is how they have been historically named. We refer to 92mm PZ locks using the modern name, “GU” while older 70mm PZ locks are called “Ferco”.
Identifying a GU lock is straightforward as GU stamp their logo on the faceplate of their locks. However, if you have an old door to repair, the GU lock may be the old, original style, rather than the new version.
Over a decade ago, GU significantly revised their range of multipoint locks, moving from the old to new style. Once the lock is removed from the door, if you see that you have an old style lock case (with the top corner cut out) then you may be able to repair the lock using a replacement gearbox. However, if you need a replacement lock (for example, if you require split spindle operation, as that functionality is not available on old style replacement gearboxes), it is possible to replace an old GU multipoint lock with the new version. You may find that the centre deadbolt and latch keep need readjusting to accommodate the new lock, but its a simple task.
Most locking point positions will still line up but some adjustment may be required. Early GU locks featured deadbolts that are much thinner than the versions produced today. When replacing new for old, and retaining the existing keeps, you may find that the new, thicker, deadbolts foul the original keeps. We’d recommend changing the keeps to updated versions, designed to accept the new locking points.
GU make their Europa range of door locks with hooks, deadbolts and/or rollers. Locks with rollers feature inbound (i.e. the rollers are closer to the gearbox than the additional locking hook) or outbound rollers (where the rollers are outside of the additional hook lock). This means that some locks may have the same configuration but different measurements. You can double check the description of the products for these measurements to be sure that you have the correct product.
In 1979, Gretsch-Unitas presented the GU-SECURY multi-point locking system with roller cams for doors at the Deubau Trade Fair in Essen, Germany, and launched it on the market. In the years that followed the versions with pin bolt and SH bolt were developed. In 1996, GU created the first self-locking multi-point locking system for doors with GU-SECURY Automatic.
New style GU gearboxes are available in a variety of different operations and one of the biggest ranges of backsets on the market. They are available in 28mm, 35mm, 40mm, 45mm and 55mm backsets with lift lever function, 35mm and 45mm with split spindle function and 35mm only with the Europa Plus fast locking function.
New style GU locks can be differentiated from their old style equivalents by the shape at the top of the gearbox. Old style locks have the top corner removed, whereas new versions feature a vertical groove to help with bolts for handles. The two gearboxes are not compatible, so a new style gearbox will not fit on an old style multipoint lock.
GU multipoint lock gearboxes feature a latch and deadbolt and measure 191mm high (excluding the fixing lugs) by the backset + 16mm wide. The latch is 32mm high, the deadbolt measures 35mm high and there is 54mm from the bottom of the latch to the top of the deadbolt.
GU gearboxes are fixed to their faceplates with 3 screws. The distance from the top to the middle screw is 108mm, while the middle screw to bottom screw is 92mm.
Always allow 2mm when measuring your backset and the faceplate is still attached to the gearbox.
GU refer to their additional locking deadbolts as “MR”. The GU-SECURY MR system provides a multi-point lock which is protected from being sawn through or forced back.
Deadbolts are chamfered to help pull the door closer to the frame for compression.
Rollers are used for compression, to pull the door against the frame, to help prevent dust or water ingress. They do little for security, but they also have the added benefit of helping to prevent the door from becoming warped as it is supported across its full height. This is dependent on the rollers being engaged into their keeps.
Rollers are normally adjustable by +/- 1mm to help achieve optimum weather sealing.

Ingenious Duplex Latch 5 Hooks Double Spindle Multipoint Door Lock
Quick ViewDoor Locks, Multipoint & UPVC, Multipoint LocksIngenious Duplex Latch 5 Hooks Double Spindle Multipoint Door Lock
0 out of 5(0)This Ingenious Duplex multipoint door lock features 5 Hooks & 1 Latch.
These locks are designed for use on composite doors and feature a 20mm faceplate.
Identifying an Ingenious lock is relatively straightforward, but there are a few pitfalls. If your lock is still in the door, it’ll likely have the brand stamped on the faceplate. Some models also have the Secured By Design logo stamped on the faceplate too. You can double check by looking for a small black snib below the latch. Other manufacturers, such as ERA and Kenrick, also feature a holdback snib on the latch, so the snib isn’t a guarantee. All Ingenious locks feature a central hook that throws downward, rather than a deadbolt.
We’d always recommend removing the multipoint from the door to help identify it. This is especially important if you can’t identify the brand from the faceplate or it has been rebranded.
Ingenious gearboxes have a distinctive double spindle arrangement with centres at 62mm and 92mm. Both followers are unsprung so we’d recommend the use of sprung door furniture. The top corner of the gearbox is also cut out.
The overall height is 230mm and they are fixed to the faceplate with 3 screw holes. The top screw hole to the middle screw hole is 110mm and the middle to the bottom is 108mm.
Both the hook and the latch (which features a screw) are 30mm high and the distance between them is 75mm.
When measuring the backset, allow 2-3mm for the faceplate, so a 35mm backset gearbox will measure 32mm when not fixed to the strip.
Ingenious multipoint door gearboxes feature a small, plastic snib on the faceplate. This can be used to hold the latch back for convenience and to prevent accidental lock outs.
Ingenious gearboxes do bear a resemblance to the Fullex XL series (which are also 230mm), so to double check, we recommend comparing the hook boxes against the pictures as they are distinct.
Ingenious locks feature a couple of different hook locking arrangements.
The first is a standard hook which normally throw upwards, regardless of whether the hook is at the top or the bottom of the door.
The second type of hook is the Duplex, which is higher security. Duplex locks feature a pair of cast zinc hooks that throw towards each other and resemble crab claws. The Duplex locks feature a larger hook case than the standard hooks, so if you are upgrading and the routing on the door is tight, the hook box holes may need to be enlarged.

Winkhaus AV2 Latch Only 2 Hooks Multipoint Door Lock – Autolocking
Quick ViewDoor Locks, Multipoint & UPVC, Multipoint LocksWinkhaus AV2 Latch Only 2 Hooks Multipoint Door Lock – Autolocking
0 out of 5(0)This Winkhaus AV2 multipoint door lock features 2 Hooks & 1 Latch.
The AV2 autolock multipoint lock was introduced by Winkhaus in 2008 and it was designed to offer convenience to users and to maintain security standards. The result is a lock that operates as soon as the door is closed, without the need to lift the handle to engage the hooks.
The quickest way to identify the product, before removing it from the door, is to check the faceplate. You’ll spot a Winkhaus logo and, often, a Secured by Design logo. The AV2 version of the Winkhaus is identified by checking the operation of the lock.
Usefully, all Winkhaus locks feature the same routing details. Therefore, if you wish to change the locking operation, or upgrade to automatic locking, its a straightforward process. New keeps and handles may be required.
Winkhaus AV2 autolock multipoints are often specified on fire doors which require multipoint locking. Fire Door tests require doors to be tested in the latch position only, without the locking points being engaged. This is to simulate how a door may be commonly closed, however, it can create problem with achieving a satisfactory fire test result as the door leaf can bow and twist in the heat. The problem is eliminated with AV2 as the lock engages automatically in three positions helping to hold the door leaf in place against the intumescent seals and thereby achieving a fire door rating. Please note that the fitment of an AV2 lock does not mean that the door meets fire door standards and you should take specific advice.
Av2 autolocks are commonly fitted with a motor to allow for motorised locking and unlocking of doors. The locked door can be opened from the inside as usual with the door handle, or from both inside and outside using potential hands free opening products such as fingerprint, audio/visual intercom systems or even face recognition.
All Winkhaus gearboxes, apart from the AV4 measure 185mm high x backset + 15mm, making them the smallest gearboxes on the market. They measure 64mm between the latch and deadbolt and 63mm from the spindle to the top of the gearbox. They also feature a groove above the spindle to aid in the fitment of handles with a screw above the lever.
Winkhaus AV2 multipoint lock gearboxes feature an alloy sprung latch and nickel plated steel deadbolt. Most AV2 locks also feature an independent central deadbolt, but a latch only version of the lock is also available.
AV2 gearboxes are distinctive as they are handed. Certain models have a latch reversal screw which, in theory, makes it possible to reverse the latch on an AV2 gearbox. However, the hooks on the lock cannot be reversed and many AV2 gearboxes will have the latch reversal screw blanked off, so you should chose the appropriate handed gearbox when replacing a broken lock.
Winkhaus gearboxes are attached to the faceplate with a set of rivets. These can be easily removed and replaced for gearbox swaps but makes Winkhaus relatively unique (and therefore easier to identify) in the market. Please refer to our guide and video on how to replace a Winkhaus gearbox for full details.
Please note that you may have encountered a really old Winkhaus gearbox that is attached to the faceplate with screws, with a passivated yellow finish. The sticker on the side (red = key wind and blue = lift lever) will denote the operation of the lock. These locks were handed and are no longer available.
The autoLock AV2 features two solid hooks which throw automatically when the door is closed, ensuring complete claw engagement and security against the lock being pushed back. As the door locks automatically, a security risk is eliminated for users that may find it challenging to lift a lever.
Please note that these hook boxes are handed as they sit slightly offset, ensuring greater compression against the frame.
Winkhaus Autolock AV2 hooks also have the added benefit of being thrown when the door is closed, ensuring that the door is held in place across its entire length. This helps prevent doors from becoming warped or bowed.

Fuhr 870 Emergency Exit Latch Deadbolt 2 Pins Panic Multipoint Door Lock
Quick ViewDoor Locks, Multipoint & UPVC, Multipoint LocksFuhr 870 Emergency Exit Latch Deadbolt 2 Pins Panic Multipoint Door Lock
0 out of 5(0)This Fuhr 870 – Panic multipoint door lock features 2 Pin Bolts.
The Fuhr 870 Type 8 emergency exit multipoint door lock features 2 steel round bolts, latch and deadbolt. The door lock is capable of meeting the requirements of EN 1125 (applies to public buildings or other premises where occupants may not be familiar with exit routes and hardware devices) and EN 179 (applies to non-public buildings and potentials users have been fully trained on how to use the door).
In order to comply with these standards, the lock must be used with an approved free movement cylinder and panic bar.
From the inside, the 870 allows the door to be opened at any time to provide an emergency exit. From outside, access can be provided using a key. After opening, the cylinder must be locked to regain full security.
Two kit options are available for the FUHR 870 depending upon whether outside access is required. If access is required, the kit includes a silver backplate and knob handle set, while the key operates the lock the handle allows the door to be pulled open.
For double doors, a 3 piece lock is available for the slave leaf to run behind the false mullion. Shootbolt extensions fit to a centre section providing security on the slave leaf. The standard 870 lock can be used as the master lock. A CES free movement cylinder should always be used on FUHR panic gearing to meet EN standards for panic or emergency escape doors and achieve CE mark.
To achieve EN 1125 for double doors the 870 EN 1125 slave lock should be used alongside the standard master leaf set up:
Special handed, sprung loaded shootbolts. Special non PZ panic bar fitted to slave leaf, plus a special quick release centre catch plate.
