Quick ViewDoor Locks, Multipoint & UPVC, Multipoint GearboxesGU New Style Genuine Multipoint Gearbox – Lift Lever
28mm35mm40mm45mm55mmSingle 8mmClear92mmGU genuine gearbox to suit new style GU locks only, not compatible with old style versions. Also stamped DGS.
New style GU gearboxes are available in a variety of different operations and are one of the biggest ranges of backsets on the market. They are available in 28mm, 35mm, 40mm, 45mm and 55mm backsets with lift lever function, 35mm and 45mm with split spindle function, and 35mm only with the Europa Plus fast locking function.
New style GU locks can be differentiated from their old style equivalents by the shape at the top of the gearbox. Old style locks have the top corner removed, whereas new versions feature a vertical groove to help with bolts for handles. The two gearboxes are not compatible, so a new style gearbox will not fit on an old style multipoint lock.
GU multipoint lock gearboxes feature a latch and deadbolt and measure 191mm high (excluding the fixing lugs) by the backset + 16mm wide. The latch is 32mm high, the deadbolt measures 35mm high and there is 54mm from the bottom of the latch to the top of the deadbolt.
GU gearboxes are fixed to their faceplates with 3 screws. The distance from the top to the middle screw is 108mm, while the middle screw to the bottom screw is 92mm.
Always allow 2mm when measuring your backset and the faceplate is still attached to the gearbox.
Will fit new style GU locks only, not compatible with old style versions.
We stock a range of associated products for GU Europa gearboxes, including multipoint door locks, keeps, spindles, handles, and accessories.

GU Secury A2 Latch 3 Deadbolts Auto Locking Multipoint Door Lock (top deadbolt to spindle = 700mm)

This GU Secury Automatic multipoint door lock features 3 Deadbolts & 1 Latch.
The GU-SECURY Automatic multipoint door lock is convenient and simple. As soon as the door is shut, the Automatic latch bolts automatically throw 20 mm and are secured to prevent them from being forced back – the door is locked when just pulled shut. These locking systems can be opened at any time via the door handle from the inside and by key from the outside
GU-SECURY Automatic locks are also compatible with a range of motors and accessories that allow the locks to be converted to fully motorised locks. Please refer to the associated items for more details.
Automatic locking multipoint locks also have the added benefit of always having the locking points engaged in the middle, top and bottom of the lock when the door is closed. That differs from a normal multipoint lock, where the user may not always throw the locking points, leaving the door closed on the central latch, only. As the door is not held against the frame across its entire length, that can lead to doors becoming bowed or warped over time and as they are exposed to the elements.
Automatic locking multipoint locks help alleviate this issue as, when the door closes, the door will be automatically held against the frame in the middle, top and bottom of the door. That helps ensure that the door stays straight and true.

GU Secury A3 Classic Latch 3 Deadbolts Multipoint Door Lock – Automatic Deadbolt & slam shut operation
Quick ViewDoor Locks, Multipoint, Multipoint & UPVCGU Secury A3 Classic Latch 3 Deadbolts Multipoint Door Lock – Automatic Deadbolt & slam shut operation
45mmFlat 20mm - Round EndsClearAutomatic LockingThis version of the GU Secury features an additional deadbolt case and the main gearbox positioned higher up the lock at roughly the same height as a traditional timber door nightlatch.
The GU Secury A2 lock features an automatic slam-shut mechanism. The faceplate is fitted with a top and bottom actuator next to the deadbolts. As the door is closed the actuators strike the frame keep and trigger the top and bottom deadbolts. They lock into their keeps without the need to move the handle. Once the door is closed the lock is automatically activated often referred to as slam shut or automatic locking. Once the door is closed the lock can then be deadlocked by turning the key or the thumb-turn on the cylinder to throw the centre deadbolt. The other deadbolts are then locked in place so that the bolts cannot be retracted without the use of a key.
This door lock has become popular in the new range of composite and timber doors in residential developments. In addition, the door remains true as it’s held by bolts at the top and bottom without relying on the owner to pull up the door handle.
We would recommend using a pull handle and separate escutcheon rather than lever handles with this lock.
