Clear35mm45mmThis is the ATS automatic locking version of Maco’s gearboxes.
Maco Protect A-TS gearboxes closely resemble their C-TS equivalent. The shape is very similar except that the A-TS features a cut out in the top corner.
Measuring 202mm high, they are one of the smaller gearboxes on the market. They also feature a distinctive “soft” latch, which appears to be split in half. It’s worth noting that Maco offers different variants of these latches, so this latch is not conclusive when identifying this lock.
Both the latch and deadbolt on these locks measure 30mm high, with 55mm between them. They are held onto the faceplate with 3 screws. The top screw to the centre measures 102mm and the centre screw to the bottom screw measures 110mm.
When measuring the backset, allow 2-3mm for the faceplate, so a 35mm backset gearbox will measure 32mm when not fixed to the strip.

Clear35mm45mmThis kit contains all of the necessary components to refurbish any Maco CTS Multipoint Door Lock with the following characteristics: A latch and deadbolt centre case (split spindle version), and 2 anti lift hook cases.
These kits offer a convenient way to repair and recommission failed multipoint door lock mechanisms, in a package no larger than a pizza box!
The vast majority of multipoint locks require replacement due to a failure of one or more of the locking points, the spindle follower, or internal parts within the main gearbox. In most cases the faceplate and drive rods themselves are undamaged and able to be re-used. Our Refurb Kits include all the bolt on components of the multipoint lock system, allowing a complete replacement of all these critical parts and a total overhaul of the lock.
One major benefit of this approach is that the kit comes in a package so small that it becomes viable to hold stock of everything required to refurbish all popular locks from manufacturers found in the UK. Maco Protect C-TS locks have a distinctive rounded shape to both the main gearbox and the hook boxes. The main gearbox corner, next to the euro cut out is particularly rounded.

If your lock looks like a C-TS but has the top corner of the gearbox missing, its probably a A-TS version, which is automatic locking. We stock replacement locks for Maco A-TS locks.

Note: When using the split spindle the male spindle must be on the inside and the female spindle on the outside. Also, the screw holes are unthreaded so the use of self-tapping screws is required.

G-TS lock gearboxes have been manufactured in various versions over the years and it’s important to select the correct one, as they are not interchangeable. The current G-TS lock started production in 2010 and features different screw fixing positions to previous versions of the lock.
A good way to tell if you have the new or old version is the new version will have a square latch reversal button next to the latch.
Maco G-TS gearboxes feature lift lever functionality. They measure 228mm high by backset + 18mm wide. The centres (PZ) are 92mm. The latch is 29mm high, the deadbolt is 30mm high and the distance from the bottom of the latch to the top of the deadbolt is 54mm.
These gearboxes are fixed to their faceplates with 3 screws. The top screw to the middle screw measures 57mm. The middle to bottom screw measures 180mm.

Latch reversal: Inward opening – Push in the square button on the side of the case, remove the latch, reverse, and reinsert.
