The Yale 1109 Rim cylinder is one of the most popular locking products in use throughout the UK. Often fitted in conjunction with the Yale range of nightlatches.  This 5 pin cylinder is a direct replacement for the ones supplied with as standard Yales modern and traditional ranges of nightlatches.

Ideal for lock changes on existing locks for new homeowners, or replacing faulty or damaged cylinders. These genuine Yale cylinders are supplied  with 2 Genuine Yale keys and 2 new fixing bolts for the installation of the cylinder.

The cylinder is designed to suit doors with a minimum thickness of 38mm and a maximum thickness of 57mm and is adjusted to fit by cropping the tail to the correct size to suit your door.

It is recommended to always use Genuine Yale Keyblanks when cutting keys for this product.

These Yale X5 6 Pin British Standard kitemarked rim cylinders have been designed to provide resistance against common attack methods, including picking and bumping.

Kitemarked and and tested to meet BS EN 1303:2006 standards, this rim cylinder is a high security version of the standard rim cylinder supplied with mots nightlatches and is suitable as a replacement/upgrade to help increase the level of security. supplied with 2 genuine Yale keys and 2 new retaining screws for installation.

This is a British Standard Rim cylinder, however it is just one component of what makes up a complete nightlatch and its use alone may not satisfy the requirements of the standard you wish to achieve. As well as ensuring a tested resistance to attack, British Standard products are often needed to satisfy the requirements of an insurers policy stipulations. These stipulations vary, and consideration should be given to the requirements of the specific application.
