Serrated Latch Reversal Button
Aubi gearboxes have been manufactured in various different versions over the years and its important to select the correct one, as they are not interchangeable. The current Aubi lock started production on 2010 and features different screw fixing positions to previous versions of the lock.
A good way to tell if you have the new or old version is the new version will have a square latch reversal button next to the latch.
Aubi gearboxes feature lift lever functionality. They measure 228mm high by backset + 18mm wide. The centres (PZ) are 92mm. The latch is 29mm high, the deadbolt is 30mm high and the distance from the bottom of the latch to the top of the deadbolt is 54mm.
These gearboxes are fixed to their faceplates with 3 screws. The top screw to middle screw measures 57mm. The middle to bottom screw measures 180mm.
We stock a range of associated products for Maco G-TS gearboxes, including multipoint door locks, keeps, spindles, handles and accessories.

Avantis Genuine Multipoint Gearbox – Lift Lever or Double Spindle
Quick ViewDoor Locks, Multipoint & UPVC, Multipoint GearboxesAvantis Genuine Multipoint Gearbox – Lift Lever or Double Spindle
35mm45mmDouble 8mmClear92/62mmThese Avantis genuine gearboxes have a deadbolt above the latch and are available with a 35mm or 45mm backset.
Avantis gearboxes are unique in the market, featuring the distinctive grooved deadbolt, that sits above the latch. The deadbolt measures 30mm high and extends 25mm when thrown. The distance from the bottom of the deadbolt to the top of the latch is 60mm, and the latch is 24mm high.
These gearboxes are available as a double spindle, with centres at 92mm and 62mm. They can therefore be used with a double spindle night latch functionality (often used on front doors) or standard lift lever, using the top spindle only (commonly used on back doors). The spindles feature a unique cross shape but accept a normal 8mm spindle.

Avocet Copy Multipoint Gearbox – Lift Lever or Double Spindle
Quick ViewDoor Locks, Multipoint & UPVC, Multipoint GearboxesAvocet Copy Multipoint Gearbox – Lift Lever or Double Spindle
Avocet gearboxes are unique. They measure 218mm high x backset + 15mm. It’s the large cut-out in the top corner, that extends to below the latch, that makes them stand out. This cut-out assists with the fitment of handles where the screws are above the lever.
Avocet gearboxes feature a latch that is 29mm high, a deadbolt that is 34mm high, and 82mm between the top of the deadbolt and the bottom of the latch.
These gearboxes are not attached to the strip using conventional screws or rivets. Instead, the gearboxes are held on by arms that connect using circlips. While it is possible to remove a gearbox from a full Avocet lock, we’d advise replacing the full unit. It’s worth noting that the design of the arms has changed over time, and old gearboxes have a flat clip. New versions have a slightly curved connecting arm, that is located lower down, making gearbox swaps with new for old impossible. Please note this will only replace the latest version of this case.
When measuring the backset, allow 2-3mm for the faceplate, so a 35mm backset gearbox will measure 32mm when not fixed to the strip.
We stock a range of associated products for Avocet gearboxes, including multipoint door locks, keeps, spindles, handles and accessories.

Elite Genuine Multipoint Gearbox – Automatic Locking
Quick ViewDoor Locks, Multipoint & UPVC, Multipoint GearboxesElite Genuine Multipoint Gearbox – Automatic Locking
Clear35mm45mmElite automatic gearboxes are available as a 35mm or 45mm backset, single spindle lock. There’s no need for a double spindle version as that feature is not used on an automatic locking gearbox. The same gearbox is used for both standard and heritage versions of the Elite automatic gearbox.
Elite gearboxes measure 200mm high x backset + 19mm. Be sure to account for 2mm for the faceplate when measuring the backset.
Gearbox deadbolts project 20mm and are 32mm high. The latch is 30mm high and projects 10mm. There is 63mm between the bottom of the latch and the top of the deadbolt.
Centres are positioned at 92mm, with the top spindle being 122mm from the bottom of the case. Single spindle locks have a round hole where the second spindle would normally be located. The gearbox is pierced to accept a bolt through fixing 19mm from the top spindle, and the slot above that, for fixings is 42mm above the spindle.
As the door is closed, the small latch on each of the external auto-latch cases will be triggered as it touches the keep frame. This will trigger the auto latches to be thrown so that they engage into the keeps. There is no need for the handle to be lifted. The door can be deadlocked by turning the key. All locking points can be retracted using the key.
This is the auto locking or slam shut version.
