Aged Brass
Aged Brass finish is intentionally tarnished using an accelerated ageing process that causes a dark patina to gather around the edges and recesses of the design. This rich colour offers a beautiful contrast against the repolished surface areas, offering an abundance of charm and character perfect for any period dwelling.
Aged Bronze
Aged Bronze products are manufactured from solid bronze containing a minimum of 85% copper. Due to the process used to age the metal, this finish is very dark and has a rich, matt appearance. During the final stages of manufacturing, a durable, matt lacquer is applied to this finish which helps preserve its distinctive tones.
Black
A black finish is a popular choice in traditional settings. Its subtle sheen offers a bold contrast on stained and painted timber alike. During the manufacturing process, these products are baked in a high-temperature oven, giving them durable, corrosion-resistant qualities.
External Beeswax
External Beeswax finish is manufactured using a unique anti-corrosive beeswax and offers a matt richness with a depth of colour, ranging from blue to deep ochre red. This natural finish is a far softer alternative to black powder coating.
Pewter
Pewter Patina products are forged from a durable base of steel and boast a rich, luxurious appearance. The manufacturing technique create contrasting textures on the surface of the metal to create a rich appearance with an abundance of charm. This finish sits well in characterful, rustic homes, but also works as a contemporary alternative in more modern settings.
Polished Brass
Polished Brass products are made from solid, unlacquered brass and have soft, golden hues which offer a depth of reflection. This works wonderfully in period dwellings but can also be used to bring a classic twist to contemporary properties. If left untouched, this finish will oxidise over time and naturally age to create a historically beautiful look. To restore these products to their former glory, simply polish using a dry cloth and some Brasso.
Polished Chrome
These Polished Chrome products are made from a base of solid brass coated with a durable chrome plating to give an exceedingly high-sheen finish. Favoured for its bright, bold appearance, Polished Chrome is well suited to contemporary designs and offers a smooth, mirror finish when polished. This works best if a cool, clean look is desired.
Polished Marine SS
This Polished Marine Stainless Steel is grade 316 and manufactured with high concentrations of chromium and nickel. These products offer great strength and have extremely resilient corrosion resistant properties which make them an excellent choice for coastal locations. This finish is very versatile, with a high sheen appearance that works well with warm tones and cool, contemporary settings alike.
Polished Nickel
These Polished Nickel products are manufactured from a solid brass base with a high-quality plating. This finish is bright, reflective, and extremely versatile. When polished, it offers an impressive depth of reflection and has an appropriate place in modern properties, but its warm tones also make it suitable for traditional settings.
Satin Marine SS
Satin Marine Stainless Steel is grade 316 and manufactured with high concentrations of chromium and nickel. These products offer great strength and have extremely resilient corrosion resistant properties which make them an excellent choice for coastal locations. This finish is low sheen and offers a frosted, matt look.

Fuhr 2 Hook Refurb Kit
Clear35mm45mmThis kit contains all of the necessary components to refurbish any Fuhr Multisafe 856 or 859 series Multipoint Door Lock with the following characteristics; A latch and deadbolt centre case, 2 Fuhr Type 3 Hookbolt cases
These kits offer a convenient way to repair and recommission failed multipoint door lock mechanisms, in a package no larger than a pizza box!
The vast majority of multipoint locks require replacement due to a failure of one or more of the locking points, the spindle follower, or internal parts within the main gearbox. In most cases the faceplate and drive rods themselves are undamaged and able to be re-used. Our Refurb Kits include all the bolt on components of the multipoint lock system, allowing a complete replacement of all these critical parts and a total overhaul of the lock.
One major benefit of this approach is that the kit comes in a package so small that it becomes viable to hold stock of everything required to refurbish all popular locks from manufacturers found in the UK. By eliminating the need to identify and order a full length like for like replacement, the Refurb Kit system enables a lock to be removed, repaired, and recommissioned, quickly and all in a single visit without ever having to identify the exact model number, wait for a delivery or handle a parcel over 2 metres long. Simply select the refurb kit that suits the gearbox and locking point options from your van stock, fit the components to the old locks faceplate, and reinstate the lock safe in the knowledge all moving and locking components are brand new.

Fuhr 2 Part Lock Latch Deadbolt 2 Hooks Lift Lever Multipoint Door Lock
Quick ViewDoor Locks, Multipoint, Multipoint & UPVCFuhr 2 Part Lock Latch Deadbolt 2 Hooks Lift Lever Multipoint Door Lock
40mm45mmFlat 20mm - Square EndsClearLift LeverThis Fuhr 856 – Lift Lever multipoint door lock features 2 Hooks, 1 Deadbolt & 1 Latch.
Fuhr 856 series multipoint door locks are most commonly fitted to UPVC doors but suit all door types. These UPVC door locks feature a solid spindle, lift lever (Fuhr call it lever operated) function, where the handle must be lifted to engage the locking points.
Fuhr UPVC door locks are available in a range of different versions, all of which start life as the same platform. Hooks, rollers and other locking points may be in different positions, but the locks are otherwise the same.
Identifying a Fuhr lock is easiest once it has been removed from the door. The gearbox is distinctive and once you’ve seen one Fuhr lock, you’ll be sure to recognise another. Its worth noting that there are some subtle differences between the 856 (lift lever), 859 (split spindle) and 855 (keywind) multipoint door lock gearboxes, but they are all recognisable as made by Fuhr. Almost all Fuhr locks will have the name stamped on the faceplate, but a reliable way to identify the lock is the triangular shape at the top of the gearbox, adjacent to where the top fixing screw connects to the faceplate.
Fuhr multipoint door lock gearboxes feature a deadbolt which throws 20mm, except on 25mm and 30mm backset locks, where it throws 14mm. The gearbox measures 220mm x width + 18mm. The latch and deadbolt are both 31mm high and there is 61mm between the bottom of the latch and the top of the deadbolt. Gearboxes are fixed to faceplates with 3 screws. The distance from the top screw to the middle screw is 91mm and the distance from the middle to bottom screw is 108mm.
Fuhr locks feature a ball bearing and spring pre-fitted. There is a tiny notch on the sliding internal strip that the ball bearing engages (under spring tension) and give a more positive locking feel when handle operated. If you try a lock without this spring and ball bearing fitted, you’ll notice the difference. Some replacement gearboxes on the market are sold without the ball bearing and spring, but all of our replacement Fuhr gearboxes come with these pre-fitted for a direct swap.
When replacing an existing Fuhr multipoint lock or gearbox, you may find that the latch differs. This can cause problems when the latch locates in the keep. Old versions of Fuhr multipoint lock gearboxes had a latch that was 28mm high, whereas newer versions are 33mm high. If the latch on the old lock is not damaged, it is possible to remove it by undoing the allen key bolt in the old gearbox, removing it and re-using it in the new lock.
You should also look out for 30mm gearboxes fitted to bifold doors (particularly, Smarts Aluminium doors). These gearboxes do not interchange with the standard 856 gearbox.
Fuhr hooks feature a 20mm throw from a hook case that measures 135.5mm high x 40mm wide x 15mm thick. Hooks on Fuhr multipoint door locks normally all throw upwards, rather than being bi directional as some other brands are.

Fuhr 833 Latch Deadbolt 2 Latches Auto Locking Multipoint Door Lock
Quick ViewDoor Locks, Multipoint, Multipoint & UPVCFuhr 833 Latch Deadbolt 2 Latches Auto Locking Multipoint Door Lock
35mm45mmFlat 16mm - Round EndsFlat 16mm - Square EndsClearAutomatic LockingThis Fuhr 833 – Slam Shut multipoint door lock features 1 Deadbolt, 1 Latch & 2 Autolatches.
The Autosafe 833 multipoint door lock suits aluminium, PVCu, composite or timber doors. It combines automatic locking functionality to protect a property from unauthorised access from the moment the door is closed. The lock also helps to prevent warping of doors by holding the door in place by all locking points rather than relying on the home owner to lift the lever.
On closing the door, the latches turn into solid latching deadbolts throwing 20mm into the frame to provide security against forced entry. Night/child proof the lock with a simple key turn, the interior lever is blocked and the main bolt engaged. Unlocking from the inside is easy by operating the lever handle. This is ideal when in a hurry, the door automatically locks on closing. The autosafe 833 provides the perfect security for main entrance doors of residential or public buildings made of aluminium, composite, PVCu or timber. Also available with an optional panic function to allow unimpeded escape from the inside.
The 833 Slam Shut UPVC door lock is also identifiable by its auto deadlatches at the top and the bottom of the lock.
Automatic locking multipoint locks also have the added benefit of always having the locking points engaged in the middle, top and bottom of the lock, when the door is closed. That differs to a normal multipoint lock, where the user may not always throw the locking points, leaving the door closed on the central latch, only. As the door is not held against the frame across its entire length, that can lead to doors becoming bowed or warped over time and as they are exposed to the elements. Automatic locking multipoint locks help alleviate this issue as, when the door closes, the door will be automatically held against the frame in the middle, top and bottom of the door. That helps ensure that the door stays straight and true.
Fuhr 833 multipoint door locks are available in a large range of backsets including 35, 40, 45, 55 and 65mm, some of which may be available by special order. These gearboxes feature a deadbolt which throws 20mm. The gearbox measures 220mm x width + 18mm. The latch and deadbolt are both 31mm high and there is 61mm between the bottom of the latch and the top of the deadbolt. Gearboxes are fixed to faceplates with 3 screws.

Some replacement gearboxes on the market are sold without the ball bearing and spring, but all of our replacement Fuhr gearboxes come with these pre-fitted for a direct swap.
Fuhr auto deadlatches are chamfered to fire into keeps when the door is closed. The cases are slightly larger than standard Fuhr hook cases at 150mm high by 50mm wide.

Roller cams on Fuhr UPVC door locks travel 19mm with a roller cam adjustment of +/- 0.8mm.

This Fuhr key wind lock comes complete with 2 hooks.
Fuhr 855 series multipoint door locks suit all door types. These multipoint or UPVC door locks feature a key wind (key operated) function but are otherwise the same as the equivalent 856 or 859 versions.
The FUHR 855 door locks are operated using the key which engages and disengages the locking points. Two full turns of the key are required to fully engage the locking points. Instead of a lever handle, a fixed pad is used on the outside of the door and the key used to operate the latch. From the inside, the latch can be operated using a lever handle.
